These professionals have had extensive training under the supervision of a physician that an aesthetician in the community otherwise would not have. They are able to obtain and use stronger peels, more vigorous microdermabrasion devices, and provide cosmeceuticals that a non-medical cosmetologist cannot obtain.

Furthermore, there is the opportunity for the client to have specific questions answered by the physician that is on site, and have specific areas of concern evaluated by the doctor. Most "medical spas" in this area are "supervised" by a physician that is rarely on site. That is not the case here, as Dr. Buhac interacts with the aestheticians and clients constantly. The result is a team approach that establishes a continuum between the medical and cosmetic fields.
