Wrinkle and Scar removal with Smoothbeam Laser

Smoothbeam laser is a new, non-invasive way to treat wrinkles. This laser cools the skin and then delivers a laser beam that targets and heats the collagen in the upper dermis while protecting the epidermis.

What conditions does Smoothbeam treat?
Smoothbeam treats wrinkles or fine lines around the eyes and mouth. At Spa City Spa we are also using this laser to treat acne and acne scars. The laser helps renew skin by stimulating a generation of new collagen formation in the skin.

Who is a good candidate for Smoothbeam?
You are a good candidate if you are seeking to diminish fine lines and wrinkles and want to postpone more aggressive treatment such as surgery.

How long is the treatment and how many will I need?
A typical treatment is about 10 to 30 minutes depending on the area of treatment. In most cases results may be achieved within 3 to 4 treatments spaced by 4 to 6 weeks.

What does Smoothbeam feel like?
Because of the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD), many patients report a "mild" or slight snapping and tingling sensation.

How long before I see results?
Several treatments may be required depending on the area and extent of desired results.

What precautions should I take?
Avoid sun exposure for 4 to 6 weeks before and after any laser treatment.

Are there any side effects?
Risks are low with Smoothbeam. Some slight temporary redness. Some pigmentation changes can occur with more aggressive treatment that will resolve itself over time.

Is this treatment covered by insurance?
Most insurance companies do not cover cosmetic procedures.

How much does the laser treatment cost?
The cost depends upon how much of an area is treated, but ranges from approximately $250 to $500 or more.
